ABOUT
I have been practising Yoga since my 20s, with "stretching" being my preferred mode of exercise. After trying and enjoying many different forms of yoga, I came across Iyengar when I moved to Dorset in 2006, where I was lucky enough to have Alex Klein teaching at my local leisure centre. I fell in love with the method of teaching, and have never looked back.
As a Primary school teacher, gymnastics coach and dance instructor, I always felt myself drawn towards teaching yoga. Becoming an Iyengar Yoga teacher is a big commitment (6+ years in total), so it wasn't until relatively recently that the stars aligned and I was able to undertake the training. For the last 3 years, I have been mentored by senior teacher and Chair of Iyengar Yoga UK, Hannah Lovegrove. I was able to finally put in for, and pass my assessment in April.
I am passionate about teaching and passing on my knowledge of Iyengar Yoga. I have a group of very dedicated students who have supported me throughout my training, and I'm now excited to offer more classes to the wider community.
